Release 1.2 (10/07/2002):
? NOTE: due to the many changes in the code base the option "-query"
is NOT backward compatable with older PQ versions. -query expects
strings as options instead of single character codes like before.
? The PQ archive will no longer provide images. People can find their
own images or create them. The 'contribs' section on the PS website
also contains images for people to use.
+ A handfull of new themes have been included in the 'themes' directory.
+ Rewrote core PQ network routines into a perl object. Using this object
anyone can 'use pm;' in their perl scripts to query halflife servers.
Most of the dirty work is encapsulated (hidden) from the programmer
making it easy to make your own projects using PQ.
 * Fixed getresult() function to handle multi-packet responses from
servers. Due to a lot of metamod plugins and more cvars from the various
MODs out there. Servers often require multiple UDP packets to send
the correct info from a server query. Note: Not even the Halflife client
can correctly query for multiple packets, which is stupid. Large
response queries from certain RCON commands still will not work.
+ Rewrote core PQ routines AGAIN to be modular enough to support other
games other then Half-Life. The same method calls will theoretically
work for any game, once the 'definitions' for a game are defined in the
class. Quake3 will be the next game to be supported since most of the
   routines already work for Q3.
+ PQ can query WON master servers using WON-side filtering. For example,
you can get a list of all IP's that are running a certain MOD. This is
useful for limiting the total number of servers returned (which can be
   upwards of about 25,000 servers).
+ -local command line option has been reinstated to allow you to force
PQ into local mode and ignore a CGI server if needed. PQ still
automatically detects local/cgi mode if this option isn't specified.
+ Servers running the Quake3 engine are now supported. Server and Master
server queries are supported. Quake3 RCON controls are next to come.
NOTE: this feature hasn't been tested much yet and there's very limited
   documentation on it.
+ Implemented -deamon option to allow PQ to run in the background to
automatically re-query a server every X number of seconds. This feature
ONLY works on LINUX machines, as Win32 machines do not support the
'fork' function. So do not attempt it, or you'll just get an error.
+ Implemented -vartoken option to allow you to change the default
variable token character. A token is a variable used in a theme to
display something, ie: $servername would display the server's name.
If you specify: -vartoken=% then all variables in the theme must use
the percent (%) sign instead, ie: %servername.
This will help programmers who have complex themes with other code
like PHP, so you do not have conflicting $variables
+ Implemented config file support. pquery.cfg can be used to store defaults
for all configuration options. -config command line parameter can change
   what cfg file to load.

Release 1.1 (Never Publicly Released):
? This version was never released to the general public.
+ Created querywon() routine to allow you to query a master WON server for
a listing of active server IP's. This simply outputs all of the IP's
returned to the screen. Its up to you to actually do something with
   the list.
+ You can reference any rule value as a single variable element w/o using
a rule loop. For example: $admin_mod_version <- would print out the
cvar value for 'admin_mod_version'. Or 'unknown' if it does not exist.
+ Recoded PB routines to be more generic due to the new stats information
PQ will support in the sv_contact field for PsychoStats.
+ Added -fmttime and -fmtdate command line options. These let you change
the date/time formatting strings w/o having to edit the source code.
 * Fixed 'enablehtml' feature so player names and rules will print HTML
'safe' characters when 'enablehtml' = 1.
+ Default pquery.html output theme was enhanced a bit to include a few
more Dynamic HTML features. Like popup boxes for each player name.

Release 1.0 (08/14/01):
? Read through the theme_notes.txt file for information on how to make
   a theme for PsychoQuery.
? Some theme variables have had their names changed, thus older themes
created for PQ v0.1 will not work fully with v1.0
+ Renamed main 'pquery' file to 'pquery.pl'.
+ Changed theme routines to load "pquery.html" by default, instead
of "pquery.pl.html". The routines will strip off the trailing
extension, so you can rename pquery.pl to pquery.cgi if you need.
Note, these are the only extensions you can use. You can also
rename the file to have NO extension as well.
+ Replaced old ugly theme template with a new kickass theme.
+ Command line structure has been changed drastically. Please
check the help "pquery.pl -h" for more information.
+ Cleaned up code quite a bit.
+ Network code has been recoded entirely. Win32 systems can now
use PsychoQuery with no problems. And other unix systems that
reported PQ didn't work at all should work a lot better as well.
+ Extra whitespace from embedded vars will not show up.
+ More error checking. If a variable is used in a theme that does
not exist (like if you didn't include "D" in your query string
and tried to display the $activeplayers. "0" will simply be
returned for the variable instead of an error.
+ "-l" command line option is no longer used or needed. PsychoQuery
will now automatically detect if the script is being called as
a CGI request or just run locally from a command prompt. And
will output the 'Content-Type' as needed.
+ Added 'enablehtml' option to theme HTML file to disable the use of
'safe web characters'. Useful if you want to ignore special characters
in player names, etc. This will not disable the creation of links
+ Fixed CGI security hole so that only files in the same directory (or
sub directories within it) as the script itself can be used as the
   source file.
+ Changed a lot of the theme variables around to make them a little more
   descriptive.
+ Added support to detect if PB is running on a server and to allow the
theme to display it (the test.txt file included in the archive will show
   this output)
+ RCON commands can be issued from pquery. This feature is BETA and I assume
no liability if it causes you any problems.

Release 0.2 (06/18/01):
 * Fixed/Tweaked the HTML parsing routines a bit.
 * Fixed bug for player kills. Negative frag counts weren't being
   displayed correctly.
 * Player connect times are now reported correctly.

Release 0.1 (01/26/01):
  ? First public release.
