Tutorial: Adding multiple documents
(we need help to improve this translated tutorial)Adding documents to a repository can became a really tedious task, above all when we have to include a lot of documents, like could be an entire corporative web company, legacy document archives, etc.
One easy way to perform this tasks is to take advantage of the massive loading option incorporated into jLibrary. The only thing you have to do is right-clicking on the directory or repository which will hold the documents, and choose the menu option Add files and documents:

Once that the option is chosen, it will appear a dialog in which you can choose the files and directories that you wish to add. In this example, I will add to the repository the entire jLibrary web.

When you have chosen all the documents an directories to be loaded, press the Accept button, and jLibrary will start to add and index all those documents in the repository. This operation can take several minutes, depending of the size and type of the documents. In this process, jLibrary will extract the content of all those files, and will try to get the appropiate metadat, keywords, etc.
That metadata extraction isn't always perfect. When you are working with sensible data, it will be advisable to check that metadata for ensuring of their validity. As well, jLibrary will try to assign automatically resources to all those documents, but this resource assignement can change because we're working to improve it. At this time, jLibrary only assigns resources automatically to HTML files.
At this process end, if all goes fine, you should see the documents in your repository.

Congratulations ! You have performed your first massive document upload :-)
